Many Messages and One Messenger

Remember…

  • Noah was a drunk
  • Abraham was too old
  • Isaac was a daydreamer
  • Jacob was a liar
  • Joseph was abused
  • Moses had a stuttering problem
  • Gideon was afraid
  • Samson had long hair and was a womanizer
  • Rahab was a prostitute
  • Jeremiah and Timothy were too young
  • David had an affair and was a murderer
  • Elijah was suicidal
  • Job went bankrupt
  • Peter denied Christ
  • The disciples fell asleep while praying
  • Martha worried about everything
  • Zacchaeus was too small
  • Lazarus was dead

No more excuses!

God can use you to your full potential.

Besides, you aren’t the message

You are the messenger.

They Were People Too!

An unusual thing about the Bible.  It describes the failures along with the victories of its heroes:

  • Abraham lied
  • Moses said he was incapable
  • David committed adultery

The Bible isn’t a book about heroes. It’s a book about flawed people that God used to do amazing things.

God responded to Elijah’s fear with a clear message, but also with patience.

We are all mixtures of success and failures, and our failures can come at times when things are going well.

It’s good that God is patient with us, but hopefully we are making some progress toward more faith in God.

Have a blessed day!
